This original oil painting, Gold Coast, captures the unique beauty of the sunset glow on the west coast of the pacific northwest. This is not an actual place, but an idea I had in mind and heart of a beautiful ocean wave crashing close to shore with rugged sea stacks and coastal pines.
I am so enchanted by where the forest meets the sea near my home on the coast of Washington. The fluid movement of the sea illuminated in fading light, and glowing in gold is something I've longed to paint.
After spending years traveling the world, both by boat and land, I returned to one of them most stunning coasts to capture is unique and stunning beauty.
